Dear
Friends,
Back to
action. The Association has just sent
out an invitation to a Reunion between 21st and 29th of June.
I am
overwhelmed by the swift action taken to my suggestion in Circular 708.
Just as
if the organizers would have read my mind.

Dear Nigel and Don,
Thanks for your words of support.
You would notice that I keep a rather limited mailing list
generally of those Old Boys who I have a relationship.
Would you gentlemen be so kind to assure that the word gets
around to the widest possible circulation.
Sincerely,
Joe

Hey guys,
Neil Charles who I made several penances with me during my time
at abbey school (confined to camp during vacation, without any prospect of
parole) will be here between June 21-29th.
I am thinking if any of you will be interested in being involved
in a week activities during that period including:
A beach lime and cook-up on the beach complete
with card games --Las Ceuvas possibly.
Best in the middle of the week to avoid the crowds.
Lunch and/or dinner buffet
A fishing trip
Every activity will be a pay as you go affair with every effort
made to accommodate all and support those who find themselves in strained
circumstances .e.g. walk with your own cooler beach chairs and enough food to
share at the beach.
I believe that some of us can get together and pay for the tent
and toilets, others will walk with their BBQ pits etc.
I would be happy to reimburse fully the return air fare of one
Venezuelan alumni (in USD cash upon his arrival) and his share of the boat, if
we can get sponsors for his out of pocket expenses (say $500USD) and local
accommodation.
Looking forward to your enthusiastic response and participation
by all generations!
Please email me and let me know if you support the idea and which
activities you would be interested in by Friday 12th June, next Friday.
I expect that the boat ride will run about $600 a head for a day
of fishing -- lunch extra.
Sincerely,
Joe

Hello, Brian,
Good to hear from you.
I too really enjoy reading them.
I don’t know how Ladislao manages to keep up such an exhausting
schedule.
He must have the patience of a Benedictine Monk!
Keep well.

Thank you Don for e-mailing these past & present circulars
which I enjoyed reading.
Ladislao´s circulars, old & new, allow us to go back down
memory lane, to a wonder-Full past which we were all so lucky to have
experienced.
Thanks again to Ladislao, yourself and all of those old boys who
have written about their good old days at the Mount !!
Gracias / Saludos,
Brian Goddard

Hi Ladislao,
From your recent list of old boys ,I can probably (with about 50
phone calls and 4 dedicated hours) provide some information on the following.
Anthony Boos, Dr. Richard Clerk, Brian Costelloe, Jeffrey
Camacho, Richard Fakoory, Michael Farah, Roger Farah (lives next door to me),
Harold La Borde (round the world sailor?) Laurence McAuley, Ronald Mathieu,
Ernie Tempro, Richard and Chris Webster, Peter Tang and Richard Jackman (living
in Canada).
All the rest live in Trinidad (not sure about Chris Webster) but
I am a little reluctant to do further work unless the data will be utilized in
some meaningful way. Also some may not
want to be on a mailing list or reminded of their "Mount days."
I hope you understand
I am presently publishing a monthly community newspaper, the
"West Star" that highlights the news and views of the western
peninsula. 4,000 are printed and distributed free of charge. 6 issues have been
published so far. Next time you are in
Trinidad I can provide copies for you. Since the Mount is not part of the west,
I cannot print any of its history or news.
All the best for the new year and congratulations on your
monumental effort in sending out over 200 newsletters. I agree that you are
more a mount "hero" than an old boy and that God must be pleased
with the use of your talents
Stuart (MSB 1958- 1964)

Dear Friends,
I am looking for the following Oldboys that are in the list but
no confirmed information exists.
Please write me either the telephone number, confirmed or email
address so that I may send the Circulars.
God bless

Hi Ladislao,
If you can provide a few subject matters to write on, I can give
it a try.
I can also provide a few names of my contemporaries but you may
already have them on record; e mail addresses, however, are difficult to
get.
I have an actual "prize giving" programme from November
1963 with names and information from the 1960-1963 era. Will pass it to John Golding for him to scan
and send.
Regards and keep up the good work
Stuart
